Jaden Chavez is a visual creative who has resided all over the beautiful state of Oregon but calls Eugene home. He can be found exploring the streets, forests and beaches of the state with his dog Ursula looking for unique perspectives or out of place objects. He sees photography as a way to create a skewed reality that is amplified by the unique defects of film. He enjoys layering exposures and experimenting with different camera formats. Jaden is currently pursuing a degree in forestry at LCC and has taken a few photography courses at various locations.

The Eugene Darkroom Group is a 501c3 non-profit in Eugene, Oregon. Our mission is to preserve and promote film photography and provide accessible education about the medium. We seek to revitalize a beautiful yet struggling medium by investing in the photographic talent of the people in the Eugene area. Our goal is to provide a thoroughly equipped darkroom for film photographers and accessible education to the community. Our community darkroom facility and education program are located at Maude Kerns Art Center in Eugene, Oregon.
