Submission Guidelines:

"Are You Afraid of the Darkroom?"

Eugene Darkroom Group will be exhibiting our next show at Wandering Goat Coffee Co. Artwork will go up the evening of October 28th, in time for the Last Friday Art CRAWL in the Whiteaker Neighborhood on October 29th. Opening reception will be the evening of the 29th from 6-8pm. Artwork will be up through November.

In the spirit of Halloween, this will be our first themed show! As you may have guessed, we'll be exhibiting the spoookiest works you boys and ghouls can come up with!

-Limit three submissions per person

-Photograph must have one or more aspects of analog processing 

(shot on film, silver gelatin print, platinum palladium, cyanotype, etc.)

  • B&W film preferred, color acceptable

-ARTWORK MUST BE READY TO HANG

  • i.e. Dry mounted or framed, with hanger on back 

-Please email an image of your photo to eugenedarkroom@gmail.com, subject line "Wandering Goat Submission". Include a description of your shooting and printing processes, along with the dimensions of the mounted piece

  • type of film, type of print, camera used, whatever you feel vital to the outcome of the final image

  • example: Ilford HP5 35mm, Canon Ae-1, double exposure, 8x12 print on 11x17 mat board

-Submissions are due by October 22nd via email, and will be collected on the 26th and 27th by one of our members

**If you wish to have artwork(s) for sale, please include a price in your submission email. Artists will handle the sales of their own pieces, EDG would appreciate a free-will donation from each sold piece. Artwork will be available for pick-up by December 1st**

The Eugene Darkroom Group is a 501c3 non-profit in Eugene, Oregon. Our mission is to preserve and promote film photography and provide accessible education about the medium. We seek to revitalize a beautiful yet struggling medium by investing in the photographic talent of the people in the Eugene area. Our goal is to provide a thoroughly equipped darkroom for film photographers and accessible education to the community. Our community darkroom facility and education program are located at Maude Kerns Art Center in Eugene, Oregon.
