JAMIE MCDONALD

Jamie McDonald is an artist from Traverse City, Michigan who currently works and lives in Eugene, Oregon. From a young age, she was always drawing. Whether at home, school, or in her free time she always carried a pen in case an idea came to mind. In middle school, she purchased her first SLR camera, giving her a new pathway to experiment creatively and in high school she took her first black and white photography class. It was there she learned how to work in the darkroom, opening up another path of creative expression. Photography, art and the darkroom group have been fundamental to her personal and professional growth. She considers herself an artist in the sense that photography is one of many artistic outlets she enjoys.
